This window control is mounted in the door (usually on the driver’s side) and is used to electrically operate one or more side windows. Thanks to the original design, it fits into the original door panel without modifications and the connector is designed for direct connection to the original wiring. A used original part often offers better longevity and reliability than cheap universal replacements.
Installation recommendations:
– Before removing the old controller, always disconnect the battery (minus pole) to avoid short circuits in the car’s electrical network.
– Carry out the disassembly carefully, ideally with plastic pry bars, so as not to damage the door lining and the controller frame.
– Check the condition of the connector and wires – they must not be oxidized, broken or loose; clean any light oxidation with a suitable contact preparation.
– Before finally snapping the controller into the door panel, we recommend briefly testing the function – control of all windows, backlighting (if available) and correct response to individual button positions.
– After installation, check that the controller is firmly seated in the panel and does not move, so as not to stress the connector during use.
– In some models, after disconnecting the battery, it may be necessary to make a simple adaptation of the end positions of the window (e.g. fully retracting and extending the window by pressing the button for a few seconds in the upper position).
