Description
Original instrument cluster (tachometer, gauges, combined instrument) for Peugeot 308 1.4 VTi and 1.6 VTi petrol engines. This is a used PSA part suitable as a direct replacement when the factory cluster develops faults. Mileage on the unit is unknown.
The cluster displays vehicle speed, engine RPM, coolant temperature, fuel level and on-board computer information. Common failures on 308 (T7) units include backlight loss, missing LCD segments, intermittent communication dropouts and inaccurate needle indications caused by worn stepper motors. Replacing the complete cluster is a fast and effective way to restore full readability and operation of the instrument panel.
Installation is generally straightforward: disconnect the battery, remove the upper dashboard trim, unfasten the instrument shield screws and unplug the rear connectors. After fitting and reconnecting the new cluster, perform basic adaptation/telecoding with diagnostic tools (DiagBox/Lexia) to set equipment variants, language and units. On PSA vehicles the mileage information is synchronized with the BSI; following installation the displayed value will normally be reconciled with data stored in the vehicle control units. Because the donor unit’s mileage is unknown, expect to verify and synchronize mileage after installation.
