Installation Guidance

Typical steps: remove the inner door trim, detach the interior handle and any electrical connectors, remove the retaining screws or clip holding the lock cylinder, withdraw the old cylinder and fit the new one, secure the retaining clip and reassemble the door. For the fuel flap, release any access panel and replace the cylinder. For the ignition barrel follow vehicle-specific procedures; in many cases the barrel is a mechanical fit requiring correct alignment.
