Description

Air connection at the intercooler for Peugeot and Citroën vehicles with 2.0 HDi engine.

This turbo/intercooler hose connects the intercooler to the intake system on 2.0 HDi engines. It carries compressed air from the turbocharger through the intercooler to the throttle body/intake manifold and must withstand pressure, elevated temperatures and oil contamination. Commonly searched under part number 0382HV, this hose restores proper boost delivery and engine response when the original part is leaking or damaged.

Ideal For Professional Workshops And Competent DIY Mechanics: Simple replacement procedure, readily accessible on most 2.0 HDi installations. Replacing a faulty hose eliminates hissing noises, loss of boost and erratic idle or reduced power caused by boost leaks.

Installation Recommendations

Allow The Engine To Cool Before Starting Work. Remove Engine Cover Or Airbox If Required To Gain Access. Loosen And Remove Hose Clamps At Both Ends, Carefully Detach The Old Hose From The Intercooler And Throttle Body, Inspect Mating Surfaces And Any O-Rings. Fit The New Hose In The Correct Orientation And Ensure It Sits Fully On The Noses. Use Quality Worm-Drive Or T-Bolt Clamps As Recommended; Tighten Firmly But Do Not Over-Torque To Avoid Cutting Into The Hose. After Installation, Start The Engine And Check For Leaks Under Idle And Load Conditions. Replace Adjacent Worn Clamps Or Seals To Prevent Early Failure.

Reasons For Failure

Most Failures Are Caused By Age-Related Material Degradation, Heat Cycling And Oil Contamination From Turbocharger Leaks. Common Symptoms Include Hissing Sounds, Reduced Power, Poor Acceleration And Irregular Idle. Mechanical Damage From Contact With Nearby Components, Loose Or Broken Clamps, And Excessive Boost Pressure From A Faulty Turbo Or Modified Engine Management Can Also Cause Splits Or Blow-Offs.

Inspection Interval: There Is No Fixed Replacement Interval. Check The Hose At Regular Service Intervals And Immediately If You Notice Loss Of Power, Hissing Under Boost, Or An Increase In Oil Consumption.
