Fitment

Designed for direct replacement on Citroën C2, C3 and C3 Pluriel models where the above product codes are referenced. Always verify visual match of mounting points and connector positions before installation.

Replacement Procedure

Door Lock (Driver Side): Remove inner door trim and protective moisture barrier. Detach door handle rods and electrical connectors, remove retaining screws or rivets and extract the lock mechanism from the door shell. Install the new unit reversing the removal steps, check rod linkages for correct seating and operate the lock several times to confirm smooth action.

Ignition Switch / Lock Cylinder: Disconnect battery before working near the steering column. Remove steering column covers, turn key to release position if required, depress the retaining clip and withdraw the lock cylinder. Fit the new cylinder and secure the retaining clip, reassemble column covers and reconnect the battery.

Fuel Filler Cap Lock: Access via the fuel flap or inner wheel arch/trunk liner depending on body layout. Remove securing screws, disconnect any retaining clips or linkages and replace the lock. Refit liners and test the flap operation and locking/unlocking from the central locking system if applicable.

Installation Recommendations

  • Safety: Disconnect the negative battery terminal before working near the steering column or airbag circuits and wait a few minutes to disable systems.
  • Tools: Trim tools, Torx/Phillips screwdrivers, 10 mm socket, pliers and a small pick or retaining-clip tool.
  • Lubrication: Use graphite powder for the key cylinder and light silicone or white lithium grease for door latch mechanisms. Avoid oil-based sprays that attract dirt.
  • Keys and Immobilizer: This set includes two keys. If the vehicle uses a transponder immobilizer, keys may require programming to the vehicle’s immobilizer system for engine start.
  • Adjustment: After installation, check door alignment and striker position to prevent premature wear or sticking.

Common Failure Causes

Locks on these models commonly fail due to mechanical wear of tumblers and linkages, corrosion or ingress of dirt and moisture, broken plastic components inside the mechanism, or bent/worn keys. Sticking door locks often result from dried or contaminated lubricant and misaligned door strikers. Electrical actuation problems (if fitted) can be caused by connector corrosion or failing actuators.

This set provides a practical solution for restoring locking functionality and security. For a reliable repair, follow the recommended installation steps, lubricate moving parts correctly and confirm key/immobilizer compatibility before finishing the job.
