Function
The seat side airbag protects the torso and pelvic area of the occupant during a lateral impact by deploying from the outer side of the seatback. Proper operation depends on the inflator, wiring integrity and the vehicle’s SRS system.
When Replacement Is Required
Replacement is necessary after deployment in a collision or when the module, connector or harness is damaged. Faults in the initiator or damaged wiring under the seat commonly trigger SRS warnings and may require the module to be removed and replaced.

Installation Recommendations
