Assembly tips for mechanics and home repairs
– Before working, disconnect the battery to avoid errors in the BSI/side door airbag.
– Check the wiring in the body-door grommet (frequent breakage of wires causes an apparent “lock failure”).
– Transfer the pull rods and any plastic clips from the original lock, or replace tired clips.
– After assembly, test the mechanical and electrical functions: lock/unlock DO and key, opening from outside/inside, “door open” indication on the instrument panel.
