Installation Notes
- Remove Door Panels: Access the lock cylinders by removing the inner door panel and any trim retaining clips. Support the door panel to avoid damaging wiring and connectors.
- Extract Old Cylinders: Disconnect linkages from the latch, remove retaining clips or screws, and withdraw the old lock cylinder from the door.
- Ignition Barrel Replacement: Remove steering column covers, disconnect ignition switch connectors if needed, and extract the barrel according to the workshop manual. Be careful with the steering lock mechanism.
- Fitting New Parts: Install the new cylinders and barrel in reverse order. Ensure linkages and retaining clips are correctly seated and door functions operate freely.
- Keys: The supplied key blades will normally require cutting to match the new cylinders. If the vehicle uses transponder keys, key cutting and immobilizer programming may be required (see notes below).
