Installation recommendations
Before installation, disconnect the vehicle battery to avoid a short circuit or damage to the electrical installation. Disassemble the inner lining of the door, carefully release the handle rods and check their integrity. Remove the original lock together with the electrical connector, clean the contact surface and check the condition of the wiring. Install the new lock in the same position as the original part, tighten all screws firmly and connect the connector correctly. After reconnecting the battery, test the function of the central locking and the mechanical opening and closing of the doors from the outside and from the inside. During assembly, make sure that the lock is properly seated in the body, so that the door fits well and there is no unwanted noise or leakage. For a problem-free replacement, it is advisable that the assembly is carried out by a person with experience in repairing door mechanisms for Citroën and Peugeot vehicles.
