Description
engine resistor Cartier Citroen Peugeot
Original balcony resistance of the radiator fan (resistor Sahara) for Citroën and Peugeot. The part regulates the low and medium speed of the cooling engine, which makes the engine to heat up in the columns and the air conditioning works properly. Suitable as a substitute for a defective resistance that causes the fan to run only at full power or not at all.
This is a used original part from the Cartier supplier for the PSA concern. It is often sought according to OEM numbers 1308CP, 9662240180 and 9847019780. It occurs in selected versions Citroën C4 (incl. II), C4 Picasso II and Peugeot 207, 308 – but we always recommend to follow the part number and compare the connector/storage with the original piece.
Typical symptoms of defects: The radiator fan does not sleep at a lower speed, jumps only at a high temperature, or runs to the maximum; When the air conditioner is switched on, the fan does not sleep; There is a overheating at low speeds. The cause is thermal fatigue of resistance or oxidized contacts.
Installation: The resistance is usually placed on the frame (screw) Sahara near the cooler. In many cases, it can be replaced without dismantling the cooler – just disconnect the connector, relax the fastening, replace and plug. It is recommended to check the condition of the connector and cabling and verify the fan free operation, as the increased consumption of the defective engine can overload the resistance. After assembly, test low and higher speeds (eg with air conditioning and when engine heating). Part does not require any coding.
