The harness connects the seat heating and airbag circuits in the seat, making it an ideal replacement for airbag errors or non-functioning heating. When to replace the harness: typical signs of a fault are the airbag light on, occasional or permanent failure of the seat heating, damage or breakage of the wires when the seat is moved frequently, or oxidation of the connectors after running. In these models, the wiring under the seat tends to be stressed by bending, which leads to breaks in the wires over time.
Installation recommendation: always disconnect the battery and wait at least 10 minutes before doing any work on the airbag circuits. Guide the harness with the original grips so that there is no pulling or pinching when the seat is moved. After installation, we recommend clearing the error codes of the airbag control unit with PSA diagnostics (Diagbox/Lexia) and checking the heating function.
