Rear door behind the driver
Original electric central locking lock for the left rear door (behind the driver) intended for Peugeot 206 and 206+ cars with a 5-door body. This is an OEM PSA part, ideal as a replacement for a malfunctioning actuator/lock mechanism that provides locking, unlocking and door close detection.
Compatibility is specifically for the 5-door version and only for the left rear door. Does not fit 3-door versions. Typically applicable to 206 (approx. 1998-2009) and 206+ (approx. 2009-2013) models, however we always recommend checking against the OE number on your original part and comparing the connector and mount.
Typical symptoms of a defect in the original lock: the door does not unlock/lock via the remote control or the button, the lock “clicks” when pressed without the levers moving, the on-board computer or interior lighting reports “open door” even after closing. The cause is usually wear of the motor or the microswitches inside the mechanism – replacing the entire lock is the fastest and most reliable long-term solution.
Installation tip: remove the rear door upholstery, disconnect the handle and lock rods, loosen the lock screws (Torx), disconnect the electrical connector and replace the unit piece by piece. Then check the operation of the tie rods and their tightening. For these models, no coding of the control unit is usually required – a functional test of the central locking is sufficient after installation.
