This is the right-hand, i.e. the passenger’s, rear-view mirror, which is electrically controlled and can be electrically folded towards the body. Installation recommendations:
– before removing the original mirror, disconnect the vehicle battery to avoid a short circuit when handling the wiring
– remove the inner plastic cover at the right front door pillar, gain access to the mirror fixing screws and to the wiring connector
– carefully disconnect the electrical connector, check that the number of pins and the shape of the connector match, and only then remove the old mirror
– when installing a new part, first only lightly tighten the screws, align the mirror to the body and then tighten the screws to the prescribed torque (do not overtighten to avoid cracking the plastic holder)
– after connecting the connector, reconnect the battery and test all functions: electric window adjustment, electric folding, heating and the correct display of the outside temperature on the on-board computer
– during assembly, make sure not to damage the painted mirror cover and the seal between the mirror and the door, so that water does not flow into the door
