Description
Steering column stalk switches DELPHI COM 2000 for Citroën and Peugeot vehicles. They control fog lights, trip computer, wiper sensor, horn, cruise control and car radio (radio control must be supplied or transferred).
High-quality multifunction stalk assembly designed for direct replacement on a range of Citroën and Peugeot models. The unit consolidates multiple driver controls into a single, ergonomically placed stalk cluster, restoring full functionality for lighting, wipers, horn and cruise functions. Ideal for professional workshops and DIY mechanics looking for a reliable replacement part with original equipment compatibility. Commonly searched by part numbers, this item helps you quickly identify the correct spare for vehicles experiencing intermittent switches, stuck contacts or worn mechanical detents.

Function And Features
The stalk assembly operates front fog lights, trip computer controls, rain/wiper sensor input, horn and cruise control. Radio steering-wheel controls may need to be supplied separately or transferred from the original stalk. The unit is designed to interface with vehicle wiring harnesses and on-board electronics used by Stellantis Citroën/Peugeot models of the period.
Installation Recommendations
- Before starting, disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait several minutes to allow vehicle systems to power down.
- Remove lower and upper steering column trim to access stalk mounting points and electrical connectors.
- Unclip and disconnect the electrical connectors from the old stalk. In some models the steering wheel or clockspring cover may need to be removed—follow manufacturer service instructions to avoid damaging the airbag or clockspring (spiral cable).
- Unscrew the stalk mounting screws, swap the unit, and secure with correct torque. Reconnect all electrical plugs and reassemble the trim in reverse order.
- After installation, verify all functions: indicators, fog lights, wipers, horn, cruise control and trip computer inputs. If steering-wheel electronics were disturbed, ensure proper alignment of the clockspring before reconnecting the battery.
- Recommended to be performed by a trained technician if airbag/steering-wheel removal is required.
Why This Part Fails
Failure is usually caused by normal wear and tear: carbon track wear, oxidised or pitted contacts, and mechanical fatigue of internal detents and springs. Environmental factors such as moisture ingress or exposure to contaminants can accelerate electrical faults. Frequent use of the same switch functions (wipers, indicators, cruise) increases wear. Impact or improper removal/installation can also damage connectors or the housing.
